Shady Oaks of Georgetown has long been recognized as a community with some of the most beautiful land in the Central Texas area. The portrait of serenity, this acre plus community offers idyllic country living with premium hill country lots and beautiful mature oaks trees.
These days Shady Oaks is not only earning recognition for its beauty, but also for its top notch schools. Jarrell ISD is quickly garnering a reputation as a strong up-and-coming district. Recently rated, Recognized, for Academic Achievement in 2008, the district has expanded into a new High School for the 2008-2009 academic year and has plans for a new elementary school and middle school in the near future. Additionally, the districts small class sizes, excellent faculty members and emphasis on student involvement and extracurriculars make it a rising star among community members. "The residents of Shady Oaks are extremely pleased with the quality of the schools in this area," said sales consultant Sherri Ewoldt, "I consistently hear positive feedback on the amount of individual academic attention each child receives in the Jarrell district." Community members within Shady Oaks also had affirmative comments about the school district.
"I have a 7 year old boy that has been at Jarrell since Kindergarten he is now going into 2nd grade. The school district has been a wonderful place for my son. The teachers have been caring and aggressive on giving a solid education. I feel comfort knowing that my son is being taken care of each day when I send him to school."

"I have three children attending Jarrell ISD elementary and middle school campuses. We have been in Jarrell for five years.
We like that the school is small and the children are encouraged to participate in all activities. They are all encouraged to participate in UIL competitions and have won many academic awards. The teachers are very supportive and if a child is struggling they work with the parents to help the child achieve their goals.
The children are also allowed to play all sports that they are interested in playing. You don’t have to “try out” to make the team. Everyone is played on the team and encouraged to do their best. The coaches are positive in helping the children who are playing sports."

"Our family moved to the Jarrell area in 1997. At that time, we had an 8th grader, a 1st grader and a kindergartner. My daughter the youngest, just graduated from high school this year. My oldest pursued college and a military career, my middle son is also attending college.
Over all we found Jarrell Independent School District to be a positive experience for all three of our children. They were encouraged to excel in school and participation in extra curricular activities was fostered. Our children’s teachers actively sought parental input and our student’s success was their primary goal.
Jarrell Independent School District has a proactive school board and an administration that responds to questions and concerns, and creates and promotes a positive learning environment. "

In Jarrell, "The elementary, middle school and high school are all listed as Recognized for Academic Achievement by TEA for 2008. My wife and I raised four children and they all attended Jarrell. Our oldest daughter graduated from Texas A&M in 2009 with a degree in psychology. We have another daughter in vet school at A&M. Our oldest son is a criminal justice major at Tarleton. Our youngest son will be a freshman this tear at Jarrell. We have a new high school and will have a new elementary school by 2010. We have made a lot of improvements in the last few years. Parents should feel confident in sending their kids to Jarrell. They get a quality education, get to actually play in sports if they choose and they can get some personal attention from teachers when needed. "
